Founded in 1920, Akerman is recognized as one of the country's premier law firms, with more than 700 lawyers in 25 offices throughout the United States. Akerman is seeking a User Support Technician for its National Information Technology Department. This position will provide front-line remote support and guidance to end-users on the firm's computer and telephone systems. Responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for firm users in all offices via remote support
- Monitor support queues, identify trends in malfunctions and errors
- Assist with testing and rolling out new software, including Microsoft Office 365
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Strong verbal communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer and software troubleshooting abilities
This position works in a fast-paced, team environment and requires exceptional customer service and the capacity to work independently while managing time and tasks productively.The hours for this role are 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with flexibility for after-hours support in the evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Qualified candidates MUST possess strong IT skills with a focus on Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10, and LAN technology. Proficiency with printers, smartphones, tablets, and general software application support is also required. Prior experience in a large law firm setting is a plus.
