Examples of Duties

JOB SUMMARY:

Interface with public, staff, performers greeting and distributing materials for performances.

PAY:$18/HOUR

DUTIES:

* At 45-minutes before curtain, meet with the Front of House Manager to receive your

* assignment and review the advance sheet

* Familiarize yourself with any lobby set up (merchandising, concessions, special tabling)

* Be in your assigned position when the doors open and do not leave your post

* Always greet customers and be courteous

* Enforce the rules for the theaters including no food or drink (except water), no taking of photos,texting during performances or video recording of performances

* Direct customers with complaints to the Front of House Manager

* Watch for patrons who may need assistance and always assist persons with disabilities orspecial needs

* Take or scan tickets, hand out programs, assist with Will Call or seat patrons depending on

* your assigned position

* Never sit down - you should remain standing and aware of your surroundings and patron needs at all times

* Assist with evacuation in the case of an emergency

* Assist in cleaning up theater after performance

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

* Must be available to work nights and weekends

* Dependable and on time

* Able to work with customers and be attentive to their needs

* Must study and be familiar with seating arrangement

* Ability to stand for long periods of time

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with conditions such as noise, dark, dim, and

* absence of lighting

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be 16 years or olderTheater experience desirable but not required
