Position Summary:

To meet Federal, State, and local Underground Storage Tank (UST) regulations, track and coordinate required UST system testing and inspections including any required regulatory agency follow-up to maintain compliance. Dispatch repair vendors, maintain reports, coordinate and track correction of deficiencies, and adhere to associated budgets. Manage inspection and testing related regulatory notifications with state agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously to meet regulatory deadlines
  • Manage UST testing program, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination of repairs with approved vendors
  • Coordinate state inspections, including pre-inspection preparation and associated repairs, provide written responses to regulators as required
  • Assist with budget development for areas of responsibility and ensure work is performed on budget; achieve and track cost savings/avoidance where possible
  • Assist with emergency response (ER) program for spills, regulatory reporting, monitoring clean-up, and any required emergency testing
  • Assists with the coordination and maintenance of the waste program for the generation, transportation and removal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste from spills, testing, etc.
  • Ensure electronic compliance records are maintained in Company platform and available for review by company personnel, store team members and regulatory agencies
  • Other tasks as designated by leaders
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Working Relationships:Work directly with Department teammates. Frequent communication with other SSC departments, outside vendors and consultants. State and local regulators.

    Minimum Education:Associate degree in science, engineering or related field or sufficient industry experience

    Preferred Education:Bachelor degree in science, engineering or related field

    Minimum Experience:1 - 3 years UST compliance or project management experience

    Preferred Experience: 3– 5 years UST compliance experience

    Licenses/Certifications:Preferred licenses and certifications: Class A/B Operator Certification, TPI Certification or License, CTI License, ATG or other petroleum equipment certifications from manufacturer or PEI

    Soft Skills:

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

    TravelLimited. Driving to meetings as needed using Company pool car.

    Hours&ConditionsMonday– Friday 8 hour day in office setting

    Physical RequirementsAbility to sit for long periods of time; able to lift up to 30 pound
