Position: Utilities E & I TechnicianReports To: Utilities SupervisorJob Responsibilities:Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, repair and perform both predictive and preventive maintenance on Utilities equipment, instrumentation and electrical systems to ensure plant utility availability. The successful candidate should have knowledge of:
- function and operation of fuses and circuit breakers
- basic operation of 3-phase AC power
- wiring AC motors
- troubleshooting and programing AC Variable Frequency Drives
- electrical relay logic circuits
- operation of Allen Bradley PLCs, FactoryTalk HMIs, and ethernet networks
- how to read, interpret, and troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC programs and HMIs
- temperature, pressure and flow control loops
- electrical drawings and instrument loop sheets
- basic hand tools (including Volt-Ohm meters)
- infrared scanning technology (or willingness to learn)
- Power Distribution Systems 480 V- 13.2 KV including Switchgear, Substation, Motor Control Center, and Transformer operation
- boilers, chillers, air dryers, cooling towers, compressors, HVAC equipment (or willingness to learn)
- Maintain area housekeeping to ensure a safe workplace
- Interact with other Technicians to share maintenance knowledge on related maintenance problems
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology or an equivalent Technical College Curriculum or equivalent training as obtained via the Military.
- Prior Applicable Industrial Maintenance experience (minimum 5 years)
- Willing to work overtime and emergency call-in work as needed
- Organization and ability to develop work scopes
- Basic MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP knowledge is a plus
- Electrical and Instrumentation troubleshooting
- Problem Solving Ability
The salary range for this position is $57,000 - $70,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in the posting.
