Criteria Development, LLC is going for a 2 Utility Foreman to work at several ongoing projects. We have on in Calabash, Leland, and Jacksonvile. Our office is in Wilmington. We are a Land Development Company that does Residential Subdivisions. We own all the Land and do the Engineering and Construction. Criteria Development has Criteria Engineering, Criteria Construction, and Criteria Equipment all under it. We offer long term stability since we own all the land. We are the Client so to speak! We also need a Concrete Foreman, Heavy Equipment Operators and a Fine Grade Finish Operator!! Our interview process is very easy. Below is what we are looking for. Summary: Lead and supervise a crew of utility workers in the daily maintenance, repair, and installation of various utility systems, including water, sewer, gas, and electric lines. Ensure adherence to safety regulations and procedures while performing field work. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and troubleshoot issues on assigned projects. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Plan and schedule work orders, including crew assignments and material needs. Monitor project timelines and ensure efficient completion of tasks. Conduct regular safety inspections and address potential hazards. Coordinate with other departments and outside contractors on project execution. Technical Expertise: Perform hands-on work including locating underground utilities, excavating, pipe repair, valve maintenance, and service line installation. Read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and utility maps. Troubleshoot complex utility issues and determine appropriate repair methods. Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as backhoes, excavators, trenchers, and vacuum trucks. Leadership and Supervision: Train and mentor crew members on proper safety procedures and technical skills. Provide performance feedback and address employee concerns. Delegate tasks based on individual capabilities and project requirements. Address and resolve conflicts within the crew. Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on projects. Prepare reports on project status, including any safety incidents. Assist with budget planning and equipment maintenance. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Certified Journeyman Plumber, Electrician, or relevant utility trade license (depending on specialization) Minimum of 3 years of experience in utility construction and maintenance work Proven supervisory experience with a demonstrated ability to lead a team Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to operate heavy equipment and hand tools Physical Demands: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Frequent lifting and carrying of heavy objects Ability to work in confined spaces and climb ladders Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Salary: $85 - $110 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
