Utilities Supervisor Glanbia - MWC Join this dynamic team focused on delivering better nutrition for every step of life's journey. The Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Utilities Supervisor to join our team. This role is integral to our operations, scheduling and assigning all work to be done on utilities equipment, including daily, monthly, semiannual and annual rebuilds. In this role you will work closely with the production management and maintenance personnel to ensure that the facility is up to the required standards, coach and develop the Utilities Technicians, identify and implement process optimization projects in the safest and environmentally friendly manner possible. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and duties include but are not limited to the following;
Key Responsibilities - Organize and assign all work on utilities equipment, including daily, monthly, semiannual, and annual rebuilds.
- Maintain the plant's utilities equipment and facilities. Create, improve, manage, and expand preventative maintenance programs for steam, air, water, refrigeration, HVAC, WWTP & exterior grounds.
- Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management requirements and OSHA controls & safety devices requirements.
- Supervise and direct utilities personnel with all duties.
- Develop solutions to plant-related problems and implement process optimization projects.
- Conduct audits to ensure employees are performing tasks according to standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Provide performance coaching to the Utilities Technicians.
- Maintain records, files, instruction manuals, and necessary parts and supplies for all plant utility equipment.
- Responsible for work order disbursement and completion in the inventory management system SAP.
Qualifications - Associate's Degree in maintenance or related field; or a minimum of four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Currently possess a boilers/ammonia operator certificate or the willingness and ability to obtain within one year.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
- Ensure after-hours response in the event of plant outage and emergencies.
- Mechanical Skills: A strong foundation in mechanical skills is required.
- Electrical Skills: A good understanding of electrical systems is necessary.
- HVAC Knowledge: Familiarity with HVAC systems would be beneficial.
