We are currently searching for an experienced Utility Coordinator to support our Mid-Atlantic Region in our Virginia Beach, VA office on a large program.What you'll be doing:
- Scheduling and conducting meetings with clients, subconsultants, utility owners and contractors, including preparation of agendas and minutes
- Attending field meetings and site investigations
- Interpreting construction plans and specifications to identify utility impacts
- Working closely with designers to resolve utility conflicts, including suggesting innovative solutions to challenges
- Determining cost responsibility (prior rights) and assisting utility owners with preparation of utility agreements, relocation plans, and relocation schedules
- Participating in project risk assessments and meetings to evaluate utility risks
- Tracking budgets, schedules, and tasks
- Maintaining detailed project files and records
- Interacting with clients, stakeholders, and multi-disciplinary teams

- High school diploma
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Utility Coordination/Relocation, engineering, construction, project/program management, or a similar field
- Familiarity with utility coordination and relocation, right-of-way requirements, and Virginia area utility providers
- Familiarity with federal, locality, or state agency procedures and preferences for coordination of utility relocations
- Experience managing project schedules and budgets and reporting progress
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to effectively plan, manage, and coordinate multiple work assignments
- Ability to proficiently and professionally communicate technical information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other basic software
- Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced education in a technical discipline preferred
- Proficiency in GIS and computer-aided drafting and design software and ability to develop exhibits
- Familiarity with US Army Corps of Engineers utility requirements
