Utility / Line Roll Captain The Line Roll Captain Team Member reports to the Production Manager and Assistant Production Managers and would be listed under the utility team. The General expectation of this position is to coordinate, oversee and perform the line roll and catwalk operations throughout the day with strict adherence to the line roll schedule and Line roll Procedure. Specifically, raising and lowering catwalks and utilizing Line roll chains and power pushers to roll each floor from one station to the next. The Line Roll Captain shall be responsible for the line roll process from Stations 7 through 19.Rolling (2) floors per line move. When not preforming line roll procedures this TM will be preforming utility tm duties. As always, with emphasis on Safety and Productivity. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to Clayton Redwood's Safety First, Safety Always culture by following:
- General PPE and Department - Specific PPE
- Steps and Cone usage
- Hitch Locks
- Lock-out / Tag-out
- Hazard Prevention
- Ensure that spotters are in place and alert to potential hazards prior to rolling the line.
- Ensure that effective communication has been made with immediate area DM s and TM's prior to rolling the line as listed in our Line Roll Procedure.
- Ensure all audible alarms or bells used to roll the line are used for each line roll.
- Raise and lower catwalks before and after a floor rolls out of and into stations.
- Communicate with Each area DM that the floor needs to be swept before the line can roll to next station.
- Participate in Safety and training meetings as requested for continuous education.
- Conduct routine tool and required equipment safety inspections. (chains, steps, line roll remotes, scaffolds)
- Raise and lower catwalks per SOP/policy
- With Adherence to the Buy Off and Support System , the Line Roll Captain shall verify with the applicable Department Mangers that ALL defects have been identified and corrected in stations 7-19 prior to rolling floors out of these stations.
- Enforce Move with Purpose philosophy to hit line rolls consistently; the line roll schedule shall set the pace of work.
- Document Line roll times and note reasons why a line roll time was not met
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITY - Language Skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of peers or team members.
- Reasoning Ability. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

All team members must adhere to all safety rules and regulations required by local, State and Federal regulation, wear the appropriate personal protective equipment necessary to perform the job in a safe manner and follow all safety rules per the Company's Safety Policy.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS - Must exhibit a good attitude and work ethic.
- Must exhibit a sense of urgency.
- Must have a good attendance record over the previous four (4) months.
- Must be self-directed based on previous evaluation.
- Must not have any written warnings regarding safety or insubordination on file.
