We are looking for an applicant to help in multiple roles throughout the week. The applicant would help cover days off and vacations for the Scan Coordinator and Receiver positions, while working in the Cash Office the remaining days. Receiver shifts start at 5:00am, Scan Coordinator and Cash Office shifts start at 6:30am. Requirements: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or General Education Degree(GED). Some experience with computerized receiving. Must be detailed oriented. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions for equipment, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to speak effectively to our customers and employees. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Responsibilities: • Knowledge of the store's scanning system. Maintain complete routine and emergency procedure instructions for the system. • Work with the stores Scan coordinators to verify arrival of host communications (if applicable) and audit against reports and shelf labels. • Work with the Scan coordinators to verify arrival of labels, talkers, ad signs and pricing reports. • Verify that each new and existing item has the proper attributes programmed for food stamps, taxes (if applicable) and department status. • Apply weekly ad items and return the old ad items to regular shelf prices. • Assist in markdown procedures of damaged and discontinued items. • Maintain the mix - match items, price look up codes (PLU's), display and exception priced items. • Handle not-on-file and price discrepancies as top priority. • Run reports for the marketing team and for the store on a daily/weekly basis. • Visit each store once per quarter to verify price accuracy. • Verify pricing weekly for vendor ad related items and report on them in a timely and accurate manner. • Work closely with the marketing team to help to create, implement and report on new programs. • Oversee the Scan coordinators to ensure they understand PFMA/Scan accuracy program and comply fully with program requirements. • Perform regular system back-ups, in accordance with store policy and system capability. Daily back-up's (Mon.- Fri.) are required. • Maintain movement reports on items scheduled for deletion from the item file. Delete item no longer carried in the store. Audit movement for items, which may have unacceptable performance, and review with department managers for possible deletion. • Audit the stores weekly to maintain a system of on-going shelf verification. A minimum of one time through the store each quarter is required. • Work with the Scan coordinators to maintain adequate pricing supplies and store sign program. • Continually update the Director of Marketing regarding scanning/pricing department concerns, successes and verification results and provide them with reports on a regular basis. • Continue to improve the scanning/pricing department by developing ways to save time, cut costs and enhance the quality of service to customers. • Perform other appropriate duties as directed by the Store Manager
