Pay Range: $22.02 - $24.81/hr.

Workdays & Hours: Monday-Friday: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. The division is a 24/7 Operation - weekend work may be required. These positions are first responders in severe weather conditions/emergencies, which will be subject to work after hours, emergency call-back hours, nights, weekends, and holidays, and will participate in an on-call rotation schedule.

Utility Line Technician positions are available with the City of Fort Worth Water Department / Field Operations Division in Wastewater Collections. The Field Operations Division is a 24/7 operation and is the largest division of the Water Department and an integral function of the maintenance of the City of Fort Worth's infrastructure. This position is essential to the daily operations of the division and has an integral role in the department's success. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sanitary water and sewer systems maintenance. Televises, records, catalogs, reports CCTV footage and maintains CCTV equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED certification.

* Minimum of two (2) years of experience in w

* Possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

* Ability to obtain a TCEQ Class I Wastewater Collection license is required within twelve months of hire. To obtain this license, you must be able to pass a written test and criminal background check.

* Must be able to pass a physical and drug screen testing

Preferred Qualifications:

* Operation repair and maintenance of CCTV equipment.

* At least one year of previous supervisory experience

* Knowledge of work order management software.

* Possess a TCEQ Class II Wastewater Collection license or higher.

* Possess a Class A CDL

The Utility Line Technician - Wastewater Camera Operator job responsibilities include:

* Provide technical preventative maintenance to water and sewer lines.

* Troubleshoot problems and complaints and provide customer service to residents, contractors, engineers, and development personnel.

* Use a variety of tests and techniques to determine the cause of problems.

* Maintain CCTV equipment and follow established procedures for camera setup.

* Complete a variety of City specific forms, surveys, and reports

* Provide support to contractors, citizens, other divisions, and departments by means of telephone, email, and face-to-face meetings.

Working Conditions and Physical Demand:

Heavy Work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects. Positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, repetitive motions, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling, and lifting; depending on the assignment. Incumbents may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, odors, dust, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, intense noises, gases, vibrations, chemicals, oils, and workspace restrictions. Must be able to work outdoors in all extreme weather conditions.
