Location: Palm Beach,FL, USA
Assists with the installation, maintenance and repairs of force mains, manholes, gravity sewers, meters, water mains, water service lines, valves, fire hydrants, and all other sanitary appurtenances under the direction of Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP)-licensed crew members. Employee will work in all kinds of weather conditions and is required to work where hazardous conditions exist. May be required to transport equipment as needed. Work is closely reviewed while in progress and upon completion through visual inspection by FDEP-licensed crew members including Utility Line Technician I's, II's, III's, Utility Line Crew Chiefs and Supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of six (6) months of experience in general labor work.
PREFERENCE FOR: Experience installing/repairing water/wastewater pipelines; valid FL Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement; graduation from high school/equivalent recognized certification.
SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION SUBJECT TO RANDOM DRUG TESTING. Must be able to lift 75 pounds. Must obtain a valid FL Class A CDL with Air Brakes and Tanker Endorsement within 11 months of hire. Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment. Respiratory screen/chest x-ray and Hearing Loss Test required for selected candidates.
