Duties include monitoring plant conditions during operation, greasing and lubricating plant equipment, maintaining plant housekeeping, operating equipment and performing routine maintenance on plant and equipment.Job ResponsibilitiesAssist in plant operations including production, quality control, loading and shippingPlant clean-up and lubricationAssist with preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipmentMust be willing to cross train in all plant areasOperate plant-specific mobile equipment such as Bobcat, Kubota, RTV, etc.Perform daily pre/post-shift inspections on equipment and maintain maintenance logFollow all safety rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by the Federal and State agencies & Company policiesDemonstrate a positive, upbeat attitude and energy leveltoward teammates, peers, and customersMaintains good housekeeping in areas of responsibilityOther duties as assignedRequirementsHS Diploma or GED required1-year equipment operation, plant operation, or maintenance experience preferredAbility to learn quickly and follow directionsMust be able to read and interpret gauges/dials and make competent decisions related to processing equipmentDependable and self-motivated and can work in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to prioritize workload in an efficient mannerWilling to work irregular shifts, days, nights and weekends as neededGood oral and written communication skillsPro-active in SAFETY and works well in a team environmentPhysical requirementsAbility to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots and hearing protectionMust be able to climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks to a height of 100 ft. and work at this height for extended periodsbility to operate radio, CB radio, computer and other equipment as requiredMust be able to bend, stoop, climb and reach around all areas of equipmentMust be able to lift up to 75lbsAbility to use hand tools such as grease guns, shovels, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.Must be able to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, and rain)Must be able to work in conditions including dust, vibration, heights, mechanical hazards, confined spaces and electrical hazardsMust be able to walk across steep/rough terrainMust be able to work in areas where noise levels are up to 90 dbsExposure to cement, clay, limestone, shale, and other raw materials and various chemicals, solvents and lubricantsWORKING CONDITIONSLarger equipment is typically air conditioned. There will be times when outside assignments may require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry and dusty.
