Position Summary Information

Position Summary

Lead worker in the operation of boiler and auxiliary equipment on all work shifts; maintain steam pressure of boilers; check air compressors, forced draft units to boilers and uptake draft units; clean and repair equipment; record and weigh coal used; blow flues on boilers; sweep and clean stokers; record boiler performance; remove ashes.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of experience as a Utility Plant Operator 1 or three years of comparable experience in a boiler plant or any equivalent combination of experience and training. A successful campus interview is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with diverse populations preferred.
