Job Overview: As a result of our company's growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join our Transmission Line Mega Projects Team in Syracuse, New York. Responsibilities & Duties: Provide leadership in development and implementation of internal processes to monitor, evaluate, and report on risk management to ensure optimization of project resources within the established rules, standards, policies, and procedures by: Conducting risk assessments and identify potential risks Developing and implement risk management plans Analyzing data, trends, and report on findings Quantifying impacts to FY budget plans and EAC Conducting root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of risks Developing and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks Monitoring risk management plans and adjust as necessary Creating a risk conscious culture Implement an enterprise risk management program for a utility with such program including management of strategic, operational, emerging, and external event risks. Organize, facilitate, and report on risk assessments and mitigation programs for a large project portfolio of approx. $3B. Communicate, track, and report potential risk exposure with project management team and other stakeholders. Create executive level materials on emerging risks, existing risks, risk mitigation status, and impacts. Work directly with Project Management team, subcontractors, subject matter experts, and program stakeholders to quantify the likelihood and potential impact of risks to program schedule and budget in a logical, consistent manner Utilize company provided software to perform risk modelling software Develop risk related quality metrics Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or related engineering field Experience in Project Management for Transmission and Substation projects Six (6)+ years of experience in risk management or project management Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets Knowledge of applicable processes, techniques, and methods in area of utility financing, energy risk management Knowledge of contract and construction management for EPC projects Knowledge of Federal, State, local laws, and ordinances governing risk management in the electric utility industry. Knowledge of electric industry reliability practices, policies and procedures, and standards. Knowledge of fiscal planning and budget preparation including financial regulatory and managerial accounting practices and FERC requirements. Supervisory and managerial techniques and principles. Knowledge of energy market and evolving industry and regulatory development and impact on energy industry. The salary range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licenses and certifications; and other related skillsets. The disclosed range is an estimate and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
