We are seeking a one part-time and one full-time Utility Steward to support the team by demonstrating the highest standards of culinary excellence, accountability, respect, integrity, and compassion. The utility steward is responsible for providing support to the Food and Beverage Department by maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, China, glassware, flatware, and back-of-housework area. Maintains the food storeroom and executes special projects under the direction of the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine and/or Executive Chef. May also set up public areas and help in dining area as requested by management. This is a safety sensitive position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, equipment, supplies, pots/pans, small wares, china, glass, and silver according to established safety standards and regulations.
- Cleans kitchen floors following standard procedures.
- Applies knowledge of safe use and storage of chemicals and equipment.
- Maintains and records data on required logs per company policies and procedures.
- Completes daily and weekly cleaning assignments per task lists.
- Regularly empties trash containers; shifts and cleans garbage cans; properly operates compactor.
- Minimizes loss and breakage through proper use, cleaning and storage of equipment and supplies.
- Performs duties in a timely and efficient manner and on a schedule determined by kitchen and dining operations.
