- The Utility / Stock position at VMRC is to our Dining teams what a utility player is to sports teams. Utility players are huge assets to a team because they can play in different positions. You can be a huge asset to our team, too! Depending on the team's needs, your responsibilities will include dishwashing, receiving/stocking supplies, transporting/delivering food, cleaning, and restocking trays and flatware on the serving line or storage area as needed.
PAY RATE FOR UTILITY:
- Based on previous experiences and qualifications, the starting base pay rate is $13.50 - $17.38 per hour .

SCHEDULE OPTIONS: Part-Time w/ Benefits (Independent Living): The schedule is typically provided 2 weeks in advance.
- 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday
- Additional/alternative hours may be required on occasion, based on staffing schedules
- 42-45 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks)
Requirements As a condition for employment, VMRC requires all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. - High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred but not required.
- One year similar experience in an institutional food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Requires long hours standing and lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Possess basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to read, speak, and understand the basics of the English language and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Willing to work additional hours, holidays, and weekends as scheduled.
- Willing to cross-train in various job duties within VMRC Dining Services.
- Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, and the general public in a positive, professional, and customer-first manner.
- Self-motivated with the ability to schedule time wisely and accommodate changes, and work independently with limited supervision.
