Position Summary:The Utility Supervisor assists the Utility Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Utility Department, including the management of utility team members, the delivery of utilities, and monitoring manufacturing and supply cost reduction improvement and implementation. This position reports directly to the Utility Manager. Roles Responsibilities:
- Develop and mentor the ongoing education and capabilities of team members; including task completion in a safe and timely manner
- Analyze root cause of failures and lead continuous improvement activities to prevent future failures
- Manage/Monitor utility equipment for potential energy savings as well as to ensure there are no equipment faults, including equipment installs and preventative maintenance tasks
- Monitor stocked consumable and repair parts to ensure proper stock levels are maintained
- Prepare reports, training materials, and other KPI related documents for review across all levels of the organization; including budget preparations
- Perform other position related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Basic:
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required
- 5 years' experience in a fast paced Manufacturing environment
Preferred:- Bachelor's Degree, in Engineering or a Technical Field
- HVAC, Heavy Industrial Machinery and Rotating Equipment Maintenance Experience
- 5 years of managing skilled trades
Working Conditions:- Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job function
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to work any shift
- May be exposed to cleanroom environment, dust, solvents, welding, mixing, noise, high temperature, low humidity, air-conditioned environment, CT Scan, X-Ray, and high security areas
