Salary starts @ $34.26/hourPRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Under general supervision, performs a variety of basic mechanical and electrical functions in support of maintenance and modification activities. May assist with troubleshooting, testing, repairing, calibrations and maintenance of instruments and controls, including complex control systems for reactors, steam generators, turbine generators, engineered safety features, radiation monitoring, and other power plant equipment. This position may also be assigned independent work on facilities and other general maintenance activities. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Perform industrial painting activities. 2. Perform excel and tube and clamp scaffolding installation and removal. 3. Perform record keeping of tool and equipment withdrawals / returns. 4. Perform snow removal and lawn care maintenance throughout Site. 5. Assist line supervisor / sponsor with oversight of supplemental personnel. 6. Perform Fix It Now Leak (FINL) administrative duties e.g., data input, development of leak checklist monitoring, and maintenance order documentation / close out. 7. Uses specialized electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and gas analyzing devices and analog and test equipment. 8. Assists with coordinating activities with other plant personnel, work groups and vendors. 9. Perform tasks inside radiologically controlled areas. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school education or equivalent.
- Experience with the use of hand and power tools such as grinders, drills and saws, etc.
- Knowledge and/or experience with power plant maintenance.
- Satisfactory completion of the EEI MASS test.
- Other:
- 1.) Must meet requirements of NRC psychological testing regulations.
- 2.) Must be able to qualify for performance of inspections for functional and surveillance testing in accordance with applicable ASTM and ANSI standards.
- 3.) Must satisfy respirator requirements.
- 4.) Position may require DOT physical.
- Knowledge in scaffold building using tube and clamp and Excel style materials.
- Knowledge in insulation removal, install and fabrication of various types.
- Knowledge in protective coating application including painting.
