Apply TODAY for immediate consideration! _ *Work Schedule*_ Must be available to work the follow schedule. * Monday-Friday 7 -3:30pm. * Potential for frequent overtime. * Must be flexible and willing to work some weekend/holiday work. _ *Primary Role*_ Entry level position that involves (but is not limited to) meter reading, changeout and maintenance; line locating, leak investigation and repair; operation and maintenance of hydrants, valves and sewer facilities; vehicle upkeep, grounds and facilities maintenance, and various sampling and record keeping duties. _ *Key Accountabilities*_ Demonstrate the ability and desire to: 1. Perform all duties in a safe and timely manner while following company, federal, state and local rules, regulations, and policies; take initiative or seek assistance from others to resolve safety issues. 2. Learn and understand the footprint of the distribution system while efficiently obtaining accurate meter reading results using multiple technologies, and maintain meter performance by changing meters, repairing meter reading equipment and meter settings. (As a new union member this essential function is the main work focus until progression in seniority occurs which is generally the result of changes with more senior union members, i.e. someone retires.) 3. Maintain all company facilities, equipment, and tools while considering safety, customer service, cost, impact to fellow employees, and mission criticality. 4. Become proficient at locating, operating and maintaining company assets such as distribution mains, customer services and settings, hydrants, valves, wells, wastewater collection mains and treatment plant equipment, all of which are done during normal working hours and occasionally at night, on weekends and holidays. 5. At times, work alone, be dependable, conscientious, and thorough in all work; be able to read and write, and know or have the capability of learning various operating and maintenance procedures for pipe and appurtenances; know or have the capability to learn how to use a valve plat book and how to locate the various distribution facilities; have the proper regard for the use of time, materials, tools, and equipment; must be physically and mentally capable of performing the work required. 6.
