This position performs a variety of assigned miscellaneous indirect labor duties involving performing semi-skilled or unskilled tasks in the upkeep and repair of facilities.Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.* Gathers debris, scrap and trash in plant and on plant grounds* Uses forklift on occasion to dump garbage bins* Completes assigned 5S projects (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) in and around the plant to create a more organized and productive workspace* Ensures that safety and housekeeping standards are met and maintainedQualificationsThe following generally describes requirements to successfully perform the assigned duties.Minimum Qualifications* Ability to follow verbal and written instructions* Ability to work under minimal supervision* Ability to identify, plan, start and complete projects or other work that needs to be accomplished* Ability to complete and pass company forklift training coursePreferred Qualifications* High school graduate or equivalent* 6 or more months experience driving a forklift* 1+ year experience working in a manufacturing environmentWork Environment and Physical RequirementsWork EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
