DescriptionThe People Engagement Experience (PEX) team is looking for a passionate and people-obsessed leader to manage a design team focused on engagement and recognition experiences. We work at the crossroads of data and design to make Amazon Earth's best employer. You will lead a team of super-talented senior UX designers who are revolutionizing the user experience for Amazonians across the globe. Your team's work will have a direct impact on the lives of millions of Amazonians.You're an innovative self-starter with a relentless focus on doing what s right for customers. You have a proven record of setting a vision and leading others towards that vision. You must have high judgement, be right a lot, an innovative self-starter in driving operational excellence, and a strategic big-picture thinker who leads through others. You must demonstrate effective collaboration through your engagement with stakeholders and partnering managers and raise the UX bar for this domain. You have proven the ability to lead your team to succeed in a highly ambiguous, fast-paced environment.Key job responsibilitiesManage and creatively lead a team of UX designers to define and deliver end to end employee experiencesDefine, develop and socialize a clear vision for design innovation and big thinking while not sacrificing speed of deliveryWork cross-functionally to drive elegant design solutions from early concept through final implementation and iterationUse data and customer insights to confidently defend design solutions with senior leadersLead brainstorming and critique sessions that foster big thinking while raising the bar on the detailsBring deep expertise in UX design (frameworks, interaction models, prototypes, research), helping team members weigh the impact and tradeoffs of decisions, and seeking input where needed to drive alignmentUse systems-level design thinking to drive design solutions from your team that scaleDevelop processes and identify opportunities for improvements that drive quality and efficiency to help the team accomplish more than what they could otherwiseModel behavior that exemplifies Amazon Leadership Principles in your team and raises the design bar for the organizationDrive adoption of design systems, mechanisms, best practices, processes, and toolsAbout the teamWe are a multidisciplinary team creating truly meaningful products and experiences that empower and connect millions of Amazon employees. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
