Metronome is seeking a talented and creative UX Designer to join our team on the DoD Platform One contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user experience design, a deep understanding of the needs of military users, and a passion for creating intuitive and effective interfaces. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement user-centric solutions for Platform One.

  • User Research:

    • Conduct user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of Platform One users.
    • Develop user personas, journey maps, and use cases to guide design decisions.
    • Gather and analyze user feedback to inform continuous improvement.
  • Design and Prototyping:

    • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for new features and enhancements.
    • Design intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that align with DoD standards and requirements.
    • Collaborate with developers to ensure the feasibility and implementation of designs.
  • Usability Testing:

    • Plan and conduct usability tests to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement.
    • Analyze test results and iterate on designs based on user feedback.
    • Ensure accessibility and usability standards are met across all designs.
  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align design solutions with business goals.
    • Communicate design ideas and rationale effectively through sketches, storyboards, and presentations.
    • Advocate for user-centered design principles within the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of design standards.
    • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Qualifications:

    • Secret Eligible
    • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in UX design or a similar role.
    • Strong portfolio showcasing design projects and user-centered design process.
    • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
    • Excellent understanding of usability principles, user research methods, and accessibility standards.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
