Metronome is seeking a talented and creative UX Designer to join our team on the DoD Platform One contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user experience design, a deep understanding of the needs of military users, and a passion for creating intuitive and effective interfaces. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement user-centric solutions for Platform One.
User Research:
- Conduct user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of Platform One users.
- Develop user personas, journey maps, and use cases to guide design decisions.
- Gather and analyze user feedback to inform continuous improvement.
Design and Prototyping:
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for new features and enhancements.
- Design intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that align with DoD standards and requirements.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure the feasibility and implementation of designs.
Usability Testing:
- Plan and conduct usability tests to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze test results and iterate on designs based on user feedback.
- Ensure accessibility and usability standards are met across all designs.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align design solutions with business goals.
- Communicate design ideas and rationale effectively through sketches, storyboards, and presentations.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles within the organization.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of design standards.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Qualifications:
- Secret Eligible
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in UX design or a similar role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing design projects and user-centered design process.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Excellent understanding of usability principles, user research methods, and accessibility standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
