JOB TITLE: UX Researcher II LOCATION: Onsite in San Francisco, CA DURATION: 12 month contract PAY RANGE: $54-64/hour TOP 3 SKILLS:
  • Experience moderating user research sessions and usability testing - the ability to write questions
  • Experience turning qual and quant data into actionable insights - reporting
  • Working with a diverse set of stakeholders
COMPANY: Our client is a Fortune 500 multi-national technology company headquartered in Menlo Park, CA. Job Description: UXR will interact directly with game/app-development teams, turning their needs and goals into research plans which will usually be usability tests/playtests, but sometimes surveys, and result in a better understanding of consumer needs and the user journey. They will manage playtests wholly: writing the plan, working with recruiting to find the right participants, moderating the study, and synthesizing and presenting the findings. For surveys, they will also manage them from end to end: writing them, programming them in our client's internal tools or Qualtrics, pulling potential respondents in SQL (or purchasing them from a vendor), and analyzing the data in R or SPSS (support for this will be available) and writing the report. Top 3 Non-Negotiable Skills:
  • Experience moderating user research sessions and usability testing
  • Experience turning qual and quant data into actionable insights
  • Working with a diverse set of stakeholders
Nice to have/Preferred skills:
  • Video game user research experience
  • Survey writing expertise
  • Experience working in entertainment, media, or music publishing industries
  • Understanding of the research agency landscape, especially agencies specializing in the entertainment/media research space
  • pp development user research
  • VR user research experience
  • Passion for video games and/or VR is sought, but not required
  • Experience with analysis and data modeling in R or SPSS
Education Requirements/Background:
  • Bachelors is required, preferably in Psychology or Sociology, any degree plus user research experience (5+ years) will do too
