Job Description:

Job Purpose:

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President for Operations will oversee the Sensor Solutions organization and be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to increase business efficiency and effectiveness. Will lead and empower individuals, foster innovative thought and solutions while developing a culture of continuous improvement and executing process discipline. Oversee activities that support the overall growth and success of the business.

Duties:

  • Oversee the planning, development and execution of strategic and tactical growth objectives for the Sensor Solutions organization
  • Develop strategies and processes to improve business efficiency and reduce costs
  • Provide direction to senior Operations managers in implementing business plans and objectives and work with Business Development, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain Management Services to develop and oversee operational initiatives
  • Create a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within an ISO/AS compliant business system
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on development and execution of the strategic plan
  • Collaborate with stake holder departments to deliver products and services and achieve quality and cost objectives
  • P& L accountability

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated program management and project budgeting skills
  • Demonstrated leadership across multiple disciplines
  • Must have strong relationship skills and a demonstrated ability to work within a team
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels within the organization both orally and written.
  • Must be results oriented and customer focused
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Proven ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives that are profit driven
  • 10-15 years of industry experience or equivalent
  • Bachelors Degree in related discipline preferred, or equivalent training and experience. Masters Degree desired
  • Demonstrated performance using continuous improvement approaches to improve quality, working capital, etc.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Government Security Clearance
