Position SummaryPerform inspections and tests on in-process and finished product to ensure that quality standards and process controls are being met throughout the maintenance/construction/manufacturing/fabrication process.Location - Field (This is an ONSITE traveling position, not a position at the Corporate Office)
Position Responsibilities - Obtain submittals for engineering to review and approve. Submittals will include soil proctors, concrete batch designs and any other material that requires the approval of the engineer of record.
- Maintain drawing sets on the project or oversee that Master drawing sets are current.
- In process inspections of the civil works, inspection and issuance of concrete pour cards. Maintain a site concrete break log that is supported by 3rd party field reports from the testing agency.
- Maintain the site weld log both in hard copy and electronic version.
- Serve as lead quality person on the job, select weld procedures, certify welders, inspect welds, track material and welds, develop turnover documentation, and perform MT and PT NDE testing.
- Meet with Authorized Inspectors and arrange for 3rd party NDE testing.
- Perform inspections and testing activities to ensure continuous control over processes and testing are being achieved.
- Inspect, tag and/or otherwise certify the work of PES personnel to drawings and/or specifications, verifying completeness and quality of work. Maintain control over installation deviations from the engineering drawing set - track redlines as a result.
- Generate various quality process performance reports and initiate any corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain both hard copy and electronic copy of the inspection sheets and test data developed during the construction build effort. Turn over books will be maintained and audited on site.
Minimum Qualifications - CWI required.
- 10+ years' experience in related discipline.
- Position requires travel.
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
- Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check
Preferred Qualifications - Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 Standard quality system.
- Must be able to read and interpret civil, mechanical, structural and piping drawings.
- Visual inspection experience and the ability to analyze results and identify out-of-control conditions, trends and runs.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Verifiable field work experience.
- Technical competence including understanding software, hardware, networks, etc.
