POSITION SUMMARY:

Daugherty Management LLC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Vacation Rental Maintenance Worker to join our team in beautiful Sandpoint, ID. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, problem-solving Artisan who takes pride in ensuring our rental properties are well-maintained, safe, and provide an exceptional experience for our guests. The Vacation Rental Maintenance Worker will conduct routine inspections, perform light repairs, and coordinate with property managers to keep our vacation homes in top condition.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine inspections of rental properties to identify maintenance and safety needs.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and light repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, appliances and other property systems/components.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to prevent major issues.
  • Coordinate with property managers to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests from guests and property managers.
  • Ensure property grounds and amenities such as hot tubs and beaches are clean, presentable, and meet company standards.
  • Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely turnover of rental homes.
  • Document all maintenance activities and repairs performed.
  • Work on-call shifts as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma REQUIRED
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Proven experience in maintenance work, preferably in the hospitality or property management industry.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general building maintenance for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Must have a smartphone and prior experience using computer-based work order systems and/or desktop computing equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $22.00
