Vacuum Truck Driver Job Summary The Vac Truck Operator is to safely operate extremely high-pressured water-blast units to clean customer systems and operate industrial vacuum units and drive safely. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use appropriate PPE, as specified by Safety Director
- Follow traffic laws/DOT regulations/ driving knowledge.
- Basic knowledge and ability to operate high-pressured water-blaster and vacuum equipment.
- Properly prepares equipment and worksite on a daily basis.
- Ensures that assigned tasks are performed safely with the highest level of quality.
- Effectively communicate with Supervisors/Foremen on area such as safety, quality, and integrity.
- Pre-inspect truck.
- Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
- Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Must possess license for 7 years and CDL for 2 years.
- Must have a clean Class B driver's license with Tanker Endorsement.
- 1+ years' experience in use and operation of the vacuum trucks
- Able to effectively communicate both verbal and written
- Dependability
- Ability to carry/move up to 50 Lbs.
- Ability to perform manual labor in an outside setting.
- Must be physically able to enter confined spaces such as manholes and must be able to successfully complete/ pass confined space entry training provided by the employer.
