Corteva Agriscience has an opportunity for a Site Leader at our Valdosta, GA location.

What You'll Do:

+ Set expectations and ensure alignment for Valdosta Site in relation to EH&S, Quality, Supply, Productivity, People, Cost Management, etc. Ensure metrics are in place to track and communicate performance.

+ Lead the Valdosta team through the Crop Protection Business Unit Transformation Process.

+ Own the EHS and process safety performance of the site.

+ Set high standards for operating discipline and compliance with both Corteva's Values and our Code of Conduct. Maintain a safe work place and lead incident investigations

+ Provide input for 0-2 yr plant manufacturing cost forecast and performance, for both fixed and variable costs (considering idle mills, project expenses, plant inventory write-offs)

+ Accountable for spend v plan for the Valdosta Site, forecast 0-2 yrs (including fixed, variable, recipe, BOM, routing)

+ Ensure Operating Discipline and alignment with Corteva's management system (Corteva Agriscience Management System, or CAMS). Ensure development of team's capabilities to make and own decisions as close to the floor as appropriate.

+ Instill the owners mindset throughout the team and empower the team to execute.

+ Prioritize continuous improvement and lean manufacturing efforts for the Site in a way that supports meeting goals.

+ Conduct project reviews with Process Improvement resources and champion the use of lean manufacturing as the way to accomplish improvement objectives.

+ Utilize site metrics dashboard for tracking performance versus targets, and developing a culture of operational excellence at the site.

+ Work with site leadership to grow the current community outreach program for the Site. Participate in community outreach efforts and act as a positive representative for Corteva in the community.

+ Work with the Crop Protection Leadership Team and site staff to develop and resource Process Safety Management implementation and improvement efforts.

+ Collaborate to clearly define growth plans for the Valdosta site, which support the Crop Protection Business Strategy. This work includes the evaluation of both internalization opportunities within Crop Protection, new product launches, and product extensions. This work also includes managing infrastructure, staffing and facility improvement efforts at the site to support growth opportunities.

+ Provide input on supply strategy for liquid fungicides and insecticides in the region to increase competitive advantage in short-, medium-, and long-term time horizons. Execute supply strategy (on time/on cost) accordingly by translating its needs into site goals, activities and KPIs. Regular follow up with integrated operations leadership to understand issues and eliminate roadblocks for implementation.

+ Work with leveraged and site financial resources on delivering business excellence requirements for the site. Ensure cycle counting programs are in place and executed, accounting residuals are managed and resolved, unhealthy inventory is tracked and managed, and cost variances are understood and reported.

+ Work with the Crop Protection Leadership Team and site leadership team to develop and implement plans for improving the individual and organizational capacity of the personnel at the site. Includes ensuring development plans are in place for all direct reports, training plans are in place for all non-exempt personnel, and a strategy is in place for short term and long-term use of supplemental labor at the site.

+ Directly interface with the Regional Supply Chain to understand supply requirements and cost objectives for the site. Influence the production plan that reduces manufacturing cost and delivers on time production to plan. Provide direction to the operations organization on meeting the business needs.

+ Champion Contamination Prevention (CP) efforts at the site.

+ Provide guidance to the Master Production Scheduler on managing conflicting product demands for units where supply capability or resource availability does not meet the needs of all customers.

+ Develop and execute a staffing strategy to deliver the business commitments.

Qualifications

What Skills You Need:

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering related discipline paired with at least 12 years of experience in production operations, including experience in a leadership capacity.

+ Demonstrated operational leadership and leading complex change.

+ Experience delivering results in a chemical manufacturing environment.

+ Demonstrated results implementing and leading a culture of continuous improvement.

+ Keep in mind, equivalent amounts of relevant education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the above requirements.

What Makes You Stand Out:

+ Demonstrated success in leading through times of complex change (change management).

+ Experience in a site leader type of role

+ Experience in operations management/leadership role.

+ Demonstrated results leading continuous improvement (6-Sigma, Lean, Kaizen).
