Under direct supervision of the Director of Supply Chain, the Valet Parking Attendant provides valet parking for patients, visitors, and other contacts according to policy and procedures. Additionally, they will safely drive vehicles to and from designated parking areas. Also, the Valet Parking Attendant will provide outstanding customer service while enforcing parking rules and regulations, and maintain a professional demeanor. Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Drive patient and guest vehicles to designated areas and safely park them.Organize and complete valet tickets and accounting forms in a neat and orderly fashion as well as document all pertinent information.Responsible for receiving cash, cash receipts, credit card payments, and handling a cash drawer. Maintain order of the valet parking lot by organizing vehicles for efficient retrieval.Retrieve vehicles when patients and guests are ready to leave.Safely operate different types and sizes of vehicles in a safe and acceptable manner within Hospital driving policy standards.Display excellent public relations skills while providing information, giving directions, assisting with luggage, and providing wheelchair assistance, etc.Explain parking procedures, valet service fees, and parking garage fees clearly to patients and guests.Be able to withstand various weather conditions for long periods of time.Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and get in and out of vehicles without assistancePerform Courier duties as needed based on volumeInform Departmental Leadership of any problems or suggestions for improvements.Attend all required meetings, training, and in-service programs.Maintain a cooperative, positive, courteous, tactful, receptive, helpful and professional disposition with leadership, patients, coworkers, and vendors. Routinely handle crisis situations independently in a positive and effective mannerAssumes other duties as assigned by department leadership.Education/Experience Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid NYS Driver's License in accordance with the Crouse Health Driving Policy
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle with either an automatic or standard transmission
