DescriptionSUMMARY: The Validator is responsible for collecting and analyzing validation test data to determine whether products, components, or processes are safe, effective and optimized to customer and in-house requirements.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Reads and understands specifications and requirements for each product, component, or process to be validated; Designs suitable tests to assure safe and effective products;Tests products (or sub-units of products) for compliance with specifications, ease of use, limitations, and durability; Maintains documentation of tests performed; Communicates performance defects and other findings to Engineering and the Quality Assurance Manager; Assists customers who have questions about the use and validation of products; Provides input for Owners Manuals and other customer instructions; Maintains the unique identity of each iteration of product or component tested and assures the integrity of the final released version; Oversees EPROM Control and maintains a list of the current validated releases for each firmware and software program; Prioritizes projects according to input from Senior Management, Engineering, and Sales;QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree, preferably in biochemistry, electrical or mechanical engineering, computer science, medical technology or a related scientific field; Experience in writing test plans, project plans, procedures and project schedules; Experience in writing Functional Requirements, Design Specifications; Must be able to manage multiple tasks and work independently; Experience in medical device manufacturing preferred.LANGUAGE SKILLS Must be able to read and interpret documents such as drawings, work orders, work instructions; must be able to communicate effectively with others.
