The Gund Company has an immediate opening at our­­­­­ Amsterdam, NY manufacturing plant for a Value Stream Manager to join our team Annual Starting Salary: $85,000 Bonus Potential: Yes Plant/Work Location : 200 Wallins Corners, Amsterdam, NY 12010 Value Stream/Market: Generators The Gund Company is in the business of engineered material manufacturing. We are the industry leader in manufacturing and fabricating specialized engineered thermoplastic materials that provide a unique performance advantage. (think: Customized non-conductive parts for diverse industries). We manufacture and fabricate custom parts from drawings and sample parts (reverse engineering) . Job Summary Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Value Stream Manager oversees the Order Fulfillment Process (from quoting through shipping and invoicing) for their assigned market. Responsible for the development and performance of the plant personnel that work in their value stream. Responsible for the direction and coordination of all production operations through team leads, production and customer service personnel. Manage assembly operations, machining operations, processing, treating, packaging, and shipping . Ability to lead and influence people and teams ( up to 10-15 direct reports ). Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing. Excellent math skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
