POSITION DETAILS Position Summary Performs a variety of duties providing assembly of new valves and disassembly of valves in need of repair. You will also perform test set up to ensure valves are made to our quality and operational standards. Work involves highly complex custom engineered products.
Principal Activities - Perform assembly and disassembly of new valves and repairing valves
- Perform tests on valves to confirm they meet the required standards
- Prepare open and inspect reports for any return material authorizations
- Provide guidance and instructions or individually make the repairs necessary to correct the operational problems.
- Provide accurate estimates of labor and materials to repair product so quote can be generated.
- All other duties and tasks as assigned
Job Requirements:
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Mechanical minded
- Intermediate knowledge of various hand tools
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform multi-faceted projects in rapidly changing environment
- Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking and strategic skills
- High pressure testing and Steam testing knowledge
Education & Experience - High School diploma/GED
- 2-4 years' experience in Assembly and Disassembly
- Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense issued Confidential Security Clearance or possessed a Security Clearance within the past 24 months.
- Nuclear Navy Machinist Mate experience ideal
