What will you do?

A day in the life of a District Manager at Vans looks a little like this:

  • Strategically partner with different areas across the business to support company objectives and brand programs.
  • Hire, develop, and train a strong store leadership team from a diverse applicant pool, and support hiring plans to ensure optimal staffing levels.
  • Directly manage the team in the district with a people-first focus by building trust and actively listening.
  • Drive the vision, set direction, and ensure transparent communication with teammates at all levels across the district.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage sales and monitor KPIs to create accountability in achieving district and company goals.
  • Analyze business opportunities within your district to help your teams achieve business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in alignment with the overall region strategy.
  • Address challenges such as sales, leadership issues, profitability, and staff management.
  • Continually coach and develop a team, fostering an inclusive environment while leading by example.
  • What do you need to succeed?

    For this role, the foundation skills you'll need are:

    • 10+ years in retail management.
    • Experience in a multi-unit environment; knowledge of the retail industry is highly preferred.
    • Experience building, leading, and training a successful team in a complex, multi-unit retail environment.
    • Strong business acumen with a proven track record of developing business strategy to achieve profit & loss results.
    • Ability to meet and exceed sales and profit results.
    • Ability to embrace challenges and influence change while managing competing priorities.
    • Keen awareness of the marketplace and overall retail trends.
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

    Hiring Range : $105,600.00 USD - $132,000.00 USD annually

    Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
