The Agnes Irwin School, an all-girls' Pre-K through 12th-grade independent school in the Philadelphia suburbs, is committed to fostering the intellectual and personal growth of girls and young women. Currently, The Agnes Irwin School is seeking an Varsity Crew Coach for the Fall 2023 season beginning on November 19, 2023. Working under the direction of the Athletic Director and the Varsity Crew Coach, this position will be responsible for developing the varsity crew program and student-athletes. Successful candidates will be committed to fostering the intellectual and personal growth of student-athletes through the mission of The Agnes Irwin School and the Core Values of Excellence, Character, Community, and Respect. The successful candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree and prior experience coaching crew or teaching; equivalent combination of experience and education
- Previous competitive crew experience is preferred
- Proven ability to exemplify the highest standards of leadership, sportsmanship and respect
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all constituents
- Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends as dictated by practice and game schedule.
- Candidates must obtain Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Background Check, and FBI Criminal Clearance prior to the start of the season; current First Aid and CPR certification
