VAULT CLERKJob Description & Core ResponsibilitiesDepartment: Inventory Control Reports To: Inventory Control Manager FLSA Status: Non-ExemptPay Grade: Grade 6Starting Wage: $16.88 - $21.10Gaming Class: Compact/GamingApplication Deadline: December 20th, 2024 Position Summary:The Vault Clerk is responsible for the flow of the documentation of moneys and other cash equivalent documents through the vault to support daily gaming activities and general revenue business while adhering to company policies, regulatory compliance, and mandates of confidentiality. They will supervise cashiers and monitor their bank levels by providing add banks, return banks, and breaks for cashiers. Core Duties and Responsibilities:The Vault Clerk is responsible for the following duties:
  • Provide quality guest service by being knowledgeable about the casino, being courteous, smiling, and providing prompt services.
  • Perform duties in an independent and efficient manner making the most effective use of time and resources.
  • Supervise cashiers.
  • Monitor kiosks. Fill, audit, drop, and maintain currency levels. Troubleshoot, repair and/or call for maintenance.
  • Ensure safety by using correct lifting procedures and keeping a clean and comfortable work environment.
  • Maintain control of your area at all times.
  • Maintain knowledge of company policies, regulatory compliance standards and SOP's.
  • Maintain familiarity with cash handling policies and maintain accuracy.
  • Provide money and cash equivalent documents for all departments.
  • Issue and return banks for revenue departments.
  • Conduct swaps and exchanges with the cage to replenish their banks.
  • Verify currency, blackjack, poker and slot drops and accept into the vault.
  • Provide computer generated reports for poker and blackjack drops.
  • Be familiar with all denominations of chips and how to count them.
  • Issue new cards to blackjack and poker and destroy all used cards that are returned.
  • Load and move boxes and bags of coin for replenishing cashier banks.
  • Make and assemble coupon packages and coupons for all promotions.
  • Use correct procedures for revenue drops and key policies.
  • Issue and audit sensitive keys and monitor the sign in/out logs.
  • Keep record of lost and found monies.
  • Maintain knowledge of rolling and counting machines to perform minor repairs and cleaning.
  • Monitor schedules for the department and find replacements for call-ins.
  • Properly use an adding machine.
  • Maintain communication and attend all required meetings and trainings.
  • Be aware of promotional events.
  • Notify Inventory Control Manager of any problems which occur during your shift.
  • Perform cashier duties as needed.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of all programs associated with job (Quickets, VIP Shield, K-man, check depositing, Pit boss, VIP Lightspeed, New Wave, Kiosk Dashboard, and Count Interface).
  • Effectively use Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Keep up daily emails and notes to ensure proper communications of promotions and any issues during your shift.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with employees and management.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of Title 31 and SARC.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of Employee Right to Know.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of Blood Borne Pathogens.
  • Maintain awareness of potential dangers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:The work environment is fast-paced and requires overall good mental and physical health. Physical Demands:Job-specific abilities and requirements include:Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Ability to climb ladders. Ability to perform repetitive motion from use of a computer. Ability to crouch, and/or crawl, and/or kneel. Ability to tolerate various scents, noises, and bright lights.
