The Vehicle/Equipment Operator I is responsible for the pick up of soiled linen and the delivery of clean linen to all homes and program areas on campus. Job responsibilities include the following:

* Delivers incontinent products to all homes on campus

* Assists with the sorting and folding of soiled and clean linens as needed

* Wash and sanitize laundry carts and the soiled linen room

* Keep vehicle clean and sanitary at all times

* Performs additional duties as requested by the supervisor

Work Location: Environmental Services

Work Time: 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday- Friday

Qualified candidates must document on the application that they clearly possess all of the following:

* Working knowledge of vehicle utilized in performance of daily tasks

* Ability to perform pre-operational checks of vehicles/equipment

* Ability to accurately maintain standard mileage, cargo, and/or cash receipt records

* Ability to recognize emergency situations and follow appropriate procedures

* Working knowledge of applicable traffic laws and other established regulatory requirements for daily tasks

* Ability to carry out verbal and written instructions.

Management Preferences:

* Fork lift certification

* Valid NCDL

* High school diploma/GED

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to exert up to 100 lbs. of force
