Job Description:
Job DescriptionPRI is seeking a qualified Vehicle Operations Quality Assurance Evaluator for a potential Base Logistics Services Contract. This position focuses on assessing the unit's ability to operate and manage military vehicles effectively to meet logistics and mission requirements. The role ensures that vehicle operations comply with Air Force standards and regulations, supports fleet management efficiency, and promotes a culture of operational excellence and safety.Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Vehicle Operations Oversight:
    • Evaluate transportation routes, fleet management practices, and vehicle usage plans for efficiency and compliance with mission requirements.
    • Assess procedures for transporting personnel and cargo to ensure safe, timely, and effective movement.
  • Fleet Management and Maintenance Compliance:
    • Review fleet operations, maintenance records, and vehicle allocation to ensure adherence to Air Force directives.
    • Conduct audits of vehicle utilization and maintenance schedules to optimize fleet readiness and availability.
  • Inspection and Quality Assurance:
    • Perform quality evaluations, safety inspections, and operational checks of vehicle operations activities.
    • Use Air Force instructions, checklists, and regulations to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
    • Document findings and recommendations in designated QA databases.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyze vehicle usage and maintenance data to identify trends, deficiencies, and areas for improvement.
    • Prepare and present reports to leadership detailing performance trends and corrective action plans.
  • Training and Guidance:
    • Provide training to personnel to address deficiencies and improve compliance with vehicle operation standards.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for vehicle operations, providing mentorship and operational support to work centers.
  • Route and Safety Planning:
    • Assess and improve route planning procedures to ensure safe, efficient, and mission-compliant transportation operations.
    • Monitor adherence to safety regulations and promptly report any incidents, hazards, or non-compliance issues.
  • Program Management:
    • Oversee unit self-inspection programs and manage associated inspection tracking databases.
    • Ensure contract performance objectives related to vehicle operations are met and documented in accordance with service delivery summaries.
  • Liaison and Communication:
    • Attend Quality Assurance meetings with leadership to discuss findings, trends, and process improvements.
    • Collaborate with work centers to resolve procedural gaps and enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Mandatory:
    • Extensive experience in Air Force Vehicle Operations, including transportation planning, fleet management, and cargo transport.
    • Secret security clearance.
    • Proficiency in Air Force Base-Level Support Applications and vehicle management systems.
    • Valid state driver's license and ability to operate military vehicles.
  • Preferred:
    • 15+ years of experience in Air Force Vehicle Operations.
    • Completion of advanced training in Vehicle Operations or related fields.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of Air Force and DoD transportation and vehicle management policies.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and vehicle operations systems for planning and reporting.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, lifting up to 35 pounds, and operating vehicles.
  • Maintain a high level of mental alertness and situational awareness at all times.
Additional Requirements:
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Access to military installations and reliable transportation.
