Vending AttendantDepartment: Muncie Vend 201715Employment Type: Full TimeLocation: MuncieCompensation: $16.63 / hourDescriptionThe Vending Attendant is responsible to ensure customer satisfaction for their assigned client(s). This includes identifying and obtaining information from customers, anticipating their needs and fulfilling their expectations through the delivery and stocking of products as well as the general maintenance of space and equipment at each point of sale in their assigned location(s). Shift: Monday - Friday 4:30 PM - 8:30 PM, Sunday 8 AM - 5 PMEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMerchandising: Merchandise products according to store layouts and plan-o-grams designs. Roll-out promotions. Obtain and report customer feedback. Maintain established inventory levels for all products sold, to include, but not limited to soft drinks, pre-packaged food, sandwiches, salads, soups, wraps, fruits, vegetables, candy, pastry, and snack items. Count, record and following ordering protocol for inventory. Restock shelves, coolers and vending spirals. Follow protocols for inventory tracking and rotating of product. Collect and record out-of-date, rejected or unsold merchandise. Product Delivery: Review inventory requirements to identify what products are needed for each point of sale. Load and unload products using proper safety protocols to prevent injury. Drive vehicle to points of sale to deliver merchandise. Maintain open lines of communication with management regarding routes and recommended scheduling changes.Cash Handling: Collect money from kiosks and vending machines. Replaces bill changers and refill coin tubes utilizing handheld or similar device. Follow cash handling and loss prevention protocols to ensure personal and property safety. Record transactions on appropriate forms and/or handheld device. Monitor and report any activity that seems out of the norm or raises specific concern about potential misconduct.Food Safety & Sanitation: Ensure proper handling and refrigeration of all perishable items during transit and while stocking products. Ensure coolers maintain appropriate temperatures to store products. Perform routine cleaning, to include, but not limited to vending machines, coffee machines, microwaves, coolers, racks, shelves, tables, counter tops, floors and windows, in and around each point of sale. This will include both the store and vending units. Customer Interaction & Team Collaboration: Greet clients and customers in a friendly and professional manner. Communicate effectively with customers to address questions or concerns. Provide suggestions related to products and solutions as needed. Provide Feedback and suggestions to improve route efficiency and customer satisfaction.Machine Maintenance: Teach customers how to use machines and kiosks. Conduct minor repairs and adjustments on machines such as removal of bent coins, jammed products and replacement of display lights.
