Job Description:

StaffGrabbers is exclusively partnered with a 700-person insurance tech company on a Vendor Management Specialist search. The company is headquartered in Oldwick, New Jersey which is 35 minutes outside of Newark.

This position is 100% remote four days out of the week. This position is only required to be in the office one day a week for the occasional meeting. The team is otherwise very flexible and remote friendly, but wants to hire a local candidate.

Our client has been around for a long-time and is known for having a great work/life balance, with relaxed work and little stress.

Compensation depends on experience but is up to 55K on base.

As a Vendor Management Specialist, you will report directly to the Head of Vendor Management and support them by managing the relationship between the company and their external vendors. You'll help select which vendors to work with, onboard them, review contracts and legal agreements, and report on their performance. Your work will help our client determine which vendors to work with, and which vendors to terminate the relationship with, based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee external vendor relationships across various departments at the company
  • Negotiate and discuss pricing with external vendors
  • Help update, renew and terminate vendor contracts as needed
  • Research new external vendors to partner with as needed
  • Help streamline and improve the relationship between external vendors and the company
  • Monitor the performance of the vendors and prepare reports as needed
  • Resolve any issues that come up between the vendors and the company
  • Record all external vendor and contract information in the Venminder system
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team as needed to ensure vendors are paid
  • Stay up to date with US and EU regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree preferred but not required
  • At least 2+ years in Procurement and Vendor Management or related field
  • Experience with the Vendminder vendor management software preferred
