**JOB SUMMARY**
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Vendor Portfolio Consultant to join our team, supporting the Customer Navigation, Service & Financial product portfolio and Health Plan Operations. This role plays a critical part in driving strategic vendor partnerships, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap and maximizing value from our vendor ecosystem, with a focus on operational efficiency, financial impact, and customer experience.
**Focus:** Health Plan Operations; Customer Navigation, Service & Financial Experience
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Develop strong relationship with business partners aligned to Customer, Navigation, Service & Financial portfolio to provide expert insights and recommendations based on historical vendor financial and operational performance as well as customer experience.
+ Conduct analyses to support strategic decision-making, considering operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
+ Actively participate in business strategy setting, contributing to business case creation and funding requests
+ Analyze vendor performance against established expectations, providing actionable insights to business partners to inform vendor strategy and ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary.
+ Collaborate effectively with cross functional teams such as procurement for contracting, and Financial Operations for vendor budgeting and forecasting.
+ Develop a comprehensive understanding of vendor capabilities within the portfolio, including call center operations, claims processing, and customer service technologies.
+ Serve as a subject matter expert to Procurement on vendor negotiations, ensuring strong contracts with favorable terms and proactive alignment on vendor strategy to ensure ample time for negotiations.
+ Develop and maintain a vendor capabilities catalog to serve as a reference to ensure informed contracting decisions.
+ Partner cross-functionally with teams such as Health Plan Operations (e.g. Call center operations, customer service, claims processing) to ensure optimal vendor mix that supports their operational goals.
+ Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration, with a relentless focus on improvement and a customer-first mindset.
+ Evaluate opportunities for vendor consolidations and terminations using performance insights data, financial performance and opportunities, and duplicative solutions.
**EDUCATION**
**Required**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Economics or Health Administration
**Substitutions**
+ 6 years of Sales and/or Business Operations
**Preferred**
+ Master's Degree Business Administration/Management, Economics or Health Administration
**EXPERIENCE**
**Required**
+ 5 - 7 years in Operational Excellence
**Preferred**
+ 3- 5 years in Vendor Management **OR** Vendor Operations **OR** Procurement
+ 3 years in Healthcare Industry
+ 1 year in Health Plan Operations
