Job Description 2ND SHIFT Vertical Turning Lathe CNC Operator Join a dynamic machine shop where you'll work on machining one-off large parts. This role offers a challenging environment if you're tired of production work. The position involves operating two HNK Vertical Turning Lathe Centers along with other heavy machining equipment. Key Responsibilities for Vertical Turning Lathe CNC Operator • Operate CNC Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL) using Fanuc controls, including live tooling and Fanuc programming with G and M codes. • Safely handle equipment and products with care and caution, ensuring the safety of people and the work environment. • Perform daily preventive maintenance to ensure the equipment's safety and operational efficiency. • Use materials lifting equipment and demonstrate knowledge of crane rigging for large parts. • Read and interpret blueprints accurately. • Work independently and collaboratively, maintaining a strong attention to detail. • Demonstrate strong mathematical skills in daily tasks. Requirements for Vertical Turning Lathe CNC Operator • Minimum 5 years of experience operating large CNC VTL machines. • Ability to work safely and follow safety protocols. • Knowledge of materials lifting equipment and crane rigging is a plus. • Ability to interpret blueprints and perform calculations.
