Minimum Education/Experience
Some college or 1 year experience working in an office environment as an administrative assistant, secretary, receptionist, etc.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
General office skills, strong communication skills, ability to gather information for students.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
Ability to move about campus from office to classrooms or other meeting/office sites.
Some lifting (no more than10 pounds). Typing/keyboarding for long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree and 1 year experience working with veteran students.
Required Training
Quarterly Health and Safety Trainings
Work Hours
15 to 25 hours per week between Monday and Friday 8-5.

Provide general clerical assistance to the Coordinator of Veteran's Services.
Effectively and respectfully, interact with students, visitors, guests, walk-ins, and phone
Track and enter information into navigate
Enter Veteran's information for GI Benefits in Enrollment Manager
Assist students with applying for veterans benefits and military transcripts
Advise students on VA regulations relevant to student eligibility, students' rights, and responsibilities.
Filing and scanning as needed
Assist with veterans work-study students
Assist with tuition and fees and balancing of receipts

Contribute to a safe educational & working environment.
Adhere to established safety and health procedures and practices for the purpose of providing injury and illness prevention for self and others.
Complete quarterly health and safety training pursuant to OCCC's established safety and health procedures and practices.
Participate in all applicable OCCC emergency, evacuation, shelter in place drills, and be prepared to take action and assist others in taking appropriate action should a health or safety emergency occur.
