About Us: Rochester Community Animal Clinic (RCAC) is a high-volume, high-quality spay/neuter and vaccine clinic serving Rochester, New Yorks low-income community, and numerous pet rescue and adoption organizations. Fullor part-time opportunities are available. About You: Do you possess (or are interested in developing) skills necessary to perform an average of 15-20 dog and cat spay/neuter surgeries per shift? Can you oversee pre-, peri-, and post-operative patient care, anesthetic protocols, patient monitoring, and emergency response? Do you aspire to provide basic education & wellness care---including vaccines, routine testing, and parasite prevention---to animals owned by low-income clients and rescue organizations? Can you assess individual patient issues and provide sensible, low-cost, compassionate solutions? Can you demonstrate strong communication skills and lead the team with caring, clear, and confident guidance and support? Are you committed to openly communicating with the medical director by addressing patient concerns and staff needs and offering positive suggestions for improving speed, efficiency, and quality of care? Do you desire and have the ability to work with our large and active feral cat (TNVR) community? Do you enjoy a fast-paced environment and working as part of a dynamic team? Experience & Skills: - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required New graduates are highly considered - Amazing tailored mentorship! - Experience or interest in wellness, surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics - A great attitude and a passion for learning and growth Compensation: Negotiable based on your credentials and experience, with an annual base salary range between $90,000 - $130,000 / year. Salary considerations factor in skills, qualifications, experience, and locationno negative accrual.
