Company Description Alliance Animal Health is actively seeking veterinarians who are passionate about emergency medicine. Our immersive and comprehensive 6 to 9-month Emergency Medicine accelerated ER internship training and mentorship program is designed for team-oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable new DVM graduates or experienced DVMs looking to make a transition into ER medicine. Upon completion, you'll transition into an Associate ER Veterinarian position at a practice within our network. The Alliance Academy Mentors ER Accelerated Internship & Placement Program This proprietary ER training program is like nothing available today and will prepare veterinarians for a rewarding, sustainable and satisfying career in emergency veterinary medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than a traditional rotating internship programs, this program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration. The ER Accelerated Internship & Placement Program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician. Job Description Program Duration/Commitment 6 month training programbeginning June 2025 at dedicated teaching hospitals within the network staffed with dedicated mentors and support veterinarians! Commitment as an ER veterinarian at an Alliance Animal Health hospital following training; locations below. Total program commitment is 2 years, of which ~6 months is training and ~18-24 months is supporting your placement hospital. Following your match commitment term fulfillment, you will be eligible to select a new hospital within the network or continue your employment with that hospital. Renewal of your employment commitment to any Alliance network hospital will also offer additional incentives to be negotiated at that time (relocation, retention bonuses, compensation, equity partnership options etc). Program Highlights Typically a 4-day workweek during training, and once you get to your placement hospital, the schedule could vary between 3-4 days/wk. Our practicesvalue a healthy work-life balance and schedule flexibility Lodging will be provided throughout the duration of the immersion training period. Airfare travel to your immersion training hospital is included. Always work with a dedicated mentor during shifts Clinical development skills support proficiencyin areas such as neurology, wound care/fractures/mobility, cardiac/thoracic disease, toxicity, gastrointestinal, urogenital/repro/endocrine, case management/transfer of care and ADR/unknown origin. Additional, interactive, hands on training week prior to your immersive training hospital rotation includes hands on ER surgery exposure, ICU & critical care case management & mock exam room situational training with a cohort of additional new graduate ER veterinarian across the Alliance Animal Health network. Monthly continuing education ER/ICU series also included. No on-call shifts.Enjoy your time off in peace!
