Why Animal Hospital of Dunedin in Dunedin, FL?
What was a single man practice at the time of opening has continually grown and is now a 9 doctor practice always in search of a hardworking, knowledgeable doctor with a willingness to learn. The facility is located on a 1/2 acre of land and is a freestanding building with an A frame roof. It is a 3500 sq. ft. building. 1500 sq. ft. is dedicated to the outpatient/ inpatient care with 2000 sq. ft. of dedicated to the remainder of the facility. The facility underwent a full renovation in 2020. We have 11 indoor runs and approximately 40 cages. The wards are divided into a cat and dog area. The back ward has access to an outside fenced area for walking the patients. We have a large waiting area. The hospital includes five exam rooms, a pharmacy, treatment and reception areas, two surgical suites, radiology, rehabilitation room, doctors' office, and a call center.
The hospital is well equipped. Radiographic study is performed with the Vetpacs Digital Radiology system. All radiographs are read by a board certified radiologist. Surgery has the capability of running two tables simultaneously with a third surgical station for emergencies if needed. Anesthesia protocols have been written by a board certified anesthesiologist. Pain management includes hydromorphone, carprofen, grapiprant, meloxicam, buprenorphine, gabapentin, tramadol and more. Surgery also includes ultrasonic dental cleaning, polishing, fluoridation, dental digital radiology, and high-speed dental equipment with irrigation. As part of our standard of care, all pets get full mouth dental radiographs as part of their anesthetic dental cleaning. Surgical monitoring includes continuous pulse oximetry, heart rate, and CO2 measurements. We also have an otoendoscopy unit with irrigation and suction capability.
Other equipment in the hospital includes a Vetronics computerized ECG analyzer, microscope, Idexx Chemistry and CBC machines, centrifuge and the capability to run in house Parvo, Felv/FIV, canine snap pLi, and Idexx 4dx tests. We send out a large portion of additional testing to Antech Laboratories who pick up twice daily for next day reporting. The hospital runs on an Avimark Veterinary Software system with each doctor having a laptop and each room equipped with a wall mounted computer workstation as well.

Partnership Opportunities!
We are proud to offer additional growth opportunities for Associate DVMs through our partnership with Veterinary Practice Partners (VPP). VPP has 125 veterinarian owners that co-own their individual practices across 140 locations. It is important to note that 50 of our partners never owned part of a veterinary clinic until VPP became a co-owner. VPP is uniquely aligned with our partner veterinarians to help them achieve their goals for their practice and their goals for their careers. VPP partnerships thrive through:
* Our complementary skill sets-VPP's operational, marketing, and business acumen and our partners' clinical and client expertise-to help our practices grow, while also affording our partners more time to follow their passion for medicine and service.
* Continued investment in its support team to drive growth, cost savings and enhanced benefits to its partner clinics. Our investment in marketing, analytics, operations and finance are deeper and more comprehensive than our competitors and essential in keeping our co-owners satisfied with our performance.
* A deep commitment to core values - most recently manifested in the creation of a VPP Assistance Fund, funded by employees to support employees and their families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
