We are AAHA accredited and Fear Free Certified!Position Purpose: Bedford Oaks Family Vet in Bedford Oaks, TX is looking for a full-time lead veterinarian as well as a full or part-time associate veterinarian to join our team! Our practice has been serving the surrounding community for 25 years and has just recently relocated into a great new facility. We also won the 2023 Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorites award! Within our new facility we are proud to offer modern equipment and technology like cloud-based patient tracking, ultrasound, digital radiology, digital dental radiology, separate dental and surgical suites, new IDEXX in-house lab, and more. Our ideal candidate is an experienced, creative, driven veterinarian who is looking to join our family and guide a talented and dedicated team to the next level! We are located just a 5-minute drive from DFW International Airport, 20 minutes from downtown Forth Worth, and 30 minutes from downtown Dallas. Being so close to the downtown areas you have endless opportunities for great night life, restaurants, sporting events, and more. Essential Responsibilities:Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.Provide counsel around pet end of life care.Maintain patients' medical records.Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.Requirements/Qualifications:Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.Appropriate state licensure.Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.Benefits Offered:Competitive Compensation - All salary ranges are negotiable based on experienceUnlimited personal timeBonus incentivesHealth insurance; dental insurance; vision insuranceRetirement benefits (401(k), Roth(k) with match)CE and licensure reimbursement Flexible work schedulesManaging career path developmentEmployee Assistance ProgramDVM Referral ProgramMental Health ResourcesRelocation assistance available
