Job Description: Practice: Our team of skilled veterinarians and technicians at Pennell Veterinary Clinic is made up of remarkable people who are all passionate about caring for animals. We are one of Aston, PA's top-rated animal hospitals! Our emphasis is on prevention and we aim to ensure a pet's long healhty life through client education and a good health maintenace program.Position Purpose: We are currently a 2-doctor practice, and doctors have built strong reputations in the community. But we're starting to plan for a well-deserved retirement next year and welcome another veterinarian to join our team! We have a tremendous support staff who receive monthly training to ensure that their skills are current and sharp. Together we have formed a family of caring, growing, and successful professionals but are looking forward to having you take us to the next level! Day to day, we offer a wide array of services such as surgery, dentistry, cardiology, routine or acute exams, and more. To perform our services, we utilize equipment like digital radiology, full in-house laboratory, MLS laser, digitherm scanners, plus we're getting an ultrasound later this year! Our ideal veterinarian is someone who is confident, takes initiative, and is a team player. Besides medicine, your interests in business/operations and leadership will have the opportunity to flourish! In addition to flexible hours and scheduling, our practice does not have any on-call expectations! All experience levels are welcome to apply; some surgery experience would be great! Essential Responsibilities:Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.Provide counsel around pet end of life care.Maintain patients' medical records.Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.Requirements/Qualifications:Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.Appropriate state licensure.Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.Benefits Offered:Competitive Compensation - All salary ranges are negotiable based on experienceUnlimited personal timeBonus incentivesHealth insurance; dental insurance; vision insuranceRetirement benefits (401(k), Roth(k) with match)CE and licensure reimbursement Flexible work schedulesManaging career path developmentEmployee Assistance ProgramDVM Referral ProgramMental Health ResourcesRelocation assistance available
