Practice Spay Neuter Clinic of the Carolinas is a low-cost spay-neuter, wellness, and minor illness facility located in the Arboretum Office Park in Charlotte, NC. Our facility is equipped with very loving and compassionate Veterinarians and support staff. Our doctors diagnose and treat most problems as quickly as possible. We also maintain excellent relationships with nearby specialists and other practices should your pet need referral for specialized care or dental procedures. Our surgeons are some of the BEST! Position Purpose We are currently looking to bring on an additional associate that is very passionate about veterinary medicine and building relationships with our pet parents. Veterinarians with at least 2-3 years of experience are encouraged to apply. We thrive on developing client-doctor relationships, as well as providing our patients with the gold standard quality of care. Our amazing team consists of four DVMs, two RVTs, seven vet assistants, four receptionists, and one practice manager. About The Area: Our practice is located within the medical plaza of Charlotte, just minutes from Downtown. What is most unique about the area, is the convenience to experience a variety of different terrain. We are located just a short driving distance from both the beach and the mountains. Essential Responsibilities
- Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
- Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
- Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
- Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
- Maintain patients' medical records.
- Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
- Appropriate state licensure.
- Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
