**Position Details:**
+ **Location** : 475 N. Bolingbrook Drive, Bolingbrook, IL 60440
+ **Schedule** : Full-time opportunity with flexible scheduling, up to 40 hours per week
**Responsibilities:**
As a Veterinary Assistant at VCA Bolingbrook, you will:
+ Assist doctors and Credentialed Veterinary Technicians in providing high-quality medical care
+ Prepare examination rooms by ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
+ Restrain and handle pets safely and compassionately during examinations and treatments
+ Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare samples for more complex tests
+ Administer medications and vaccinations under the supervision of a veterinarian
+ Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
+ Educate clients on pet care, health, and wellness
+ Assist with surgical procedures and post-operative care
+ Support the front desk staff with client interactions and appointment scheduling as needed
**Requirements**
+ Minimum of 3 +years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant
+ Proficient in animal restraint, venipuncture, IM/SQ injections, client communication, and medical charting
+ Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
+ Basic knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
