Job Description:

NOVA Cat Clinic is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Assistant who loves to work with cats to our team. If you are passionate about working with felines - come join our team!

Gold Cat Friendly Practice dedicated to the comfort of our feline patients. Established cat hospital with clients who allow us to practice gold standard medicine and surgery. Lifelong learners with the knowledge, skills, and equipment to provide high quality care. Cohesive and friendly team of veterinary professionals. Small town atmosphere with the DC metro area accessible within 30-45 minutes.

Veterinary Assistant

NOVA Cat Clinic in Arlington, VA

WHAT YOU'LL DO

* Executing treatment orders

* Performing blood draws

* Keeping cages clean and sanitized

* Walking, feeding, and picking up after the animals

* Various housekeeping duties (laundry, dishes, taking out garbage etc.)

* Communicating with clients via phone and in-person

* Taking Radiographs, CBC, Chem, LYTES, Perform and read urinalysis

* Restraining animals

* Outpatient procedures

* Filling prescribed medications

REQUIREMENTS

* 1 plus year veterinary experience or education

* Team-oriented

* Ability to multi-task

* Ability to lift 50 pounds
